Hello, I'm DeAne Norwood, CEO of
Norwood Creative Group, Inc.
MY STORY
I grew up in a small rural town in California’s Central Valley, where life revolved around crop farming, family, and a close-knit community. I started my career as a professional photographer and, along the way, unexpectedly discovered a passion for graphic design through my work behind the lens. That path eventually led me to become the official photographer for the California State Assembly. In 2008, that role took me from my hometown to the fast-paced energy of Sacramento, where I met my husband and, as they say, the rest is history.
In 2020, we were ready for a change. The long hours and constant pace of city life no longer felt like the right fit, so my family and I decided to take a leap of faith. We “threw a dart at the map” and landed in North Carolina, where we’ve embraced a return to small-town living, open space, and a slower, more balanced rhythm.
Today, I balance my creative work with life at home as a wife and mom to a teenage daughter, along with two adult bonus kids. I also coach my daughter’s traveling national club volleyball team, which keeps life busy, full, and active. When I do find downtime, you’ll usually find me quilting, sewing, or relaxing on the porch with our three dogs and a glass of sweet tea.
